I have always felt it to be a shame that Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor for only one season. An incredibly wonderful season as it was the first complete season in 16 years (not counting the TV movie with the no less wonderful Paul McGann) with some great stories even if I wasn't that much a fan of his companion at the time. Two great Dalek Stories too - 'Dalek' being a real corker and 'The parting of the Ways' being the first time ever seeing a complete batallion of them (it seems we got used to it after that...while I can't help but remembering Planet of the Daleks with its 'wrong' Daleks).
And Big Finish has now successfully welcomed him back into the fold for 12 stories! I love audio drama (I've got a lot of Big Finish CD's and not just Doctor WHO either) and having Chris's wonderful Doctor back will be a real treat. I don't know the ins and outs of why he left so soon (there's a lot of gossip and talk about it and he definitely was unhappy but that's about it), but coming back after 15 years is something I think many of us never expected him to do.
Regrettably there will probably no Dalek stories unless they find a way to ensure that 'Dalek' remains canonical, but I still expect it's going to be a great series.

I've been seeing teasers for this all over the place, LG. Glad to have him back on a CD!
